Iain Hutcheson is one of New Zealand’s more experienced litigation lawyers, with over 45 years litigation experience. He graduated from the University of Otago Law School in 1980 and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand that same year.
During his career, Iain has appeared in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court, Family Court and Māori Land Court. His experience also extends internationally, having appeared before the High Court and Court of Appeal of Samoa. Prior to joining the firm, Iain practised as a barrister sole for almost three decades. He completed the New Zealand Law Society’s Advanced Litigation Skills Course in 1990 and became a LEADR Accredited Mediator in 1996.
Iain has made a significant contribution to the legal profession through more than 23 years of service on Auckland District Law Society and New Zealand Law Society committees, including approximately 14 years as committee convenor. He has also served for more than a decade on the New Zealand Law Society Friends Panel, providing support and guidance to members of the profession.
Outside of law, Iain is passionate about sport. A keen golfer with a single-figure handicap, he proudly describes himself as a golf tragic. He has also been a longstanding member of the North Shore Cricket Club and enjoys almost any sporting challenge. His love of competition, teamwork, and continuous improvement extends from the sporting field to his legal practice.

Rosa graduated with an LLB from the University of Waikato in 2008 and was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 2009 and NSW in 2010. Her legal career spans community law, private practice, and overseas corporate legal practice, where she advised a major corporate on compliance matters, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and complex negotiation.
Rosa has focused on helping individuals and families navigate complex legal issues. She established her own practice in 2020 and has developed extensive experience in family law and estate disputes. Her litigation experience includes appearing as junior counsel in a three week High Court trial and a subsequent Court of Appeal hearing.
Known for her practical, compassionate, and thorough approach, Rosa is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. By combining legal expertise with a personable and empathetic approach, Rosa provides clear, practical advice and works closely with clients to achieve positive and lasting outcomes.
Beyond her legal practice, Rosa is passionate about serving the Korean community in New Zealand and supporting the next generation of lawyers. She is the Vice-President of the Korean Women’s Association of New Zealand (KWANZ), regularly presents legal seminars, provides pro bono legal advice, and mentors younger practitioners. She was also invited to present at the New Zealand Law Society CLE Stepping Up programme, sharing her experiences as a sole practitioner.
Outside of law, family is at the centre of Rosa’s life. When she is not helping clients, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, following rugby and football, cheering on the All Blacks, and improving her game on the golf course.
